Waterfront Plaza Oakland, San Francisco East Bay
The Waterfront Plaza Hotel is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. This upgrade includes all guestrooms, the lobby, meeting rooms, exterior painting and our restaurant. While not all areas will be under renovation at the same time, please be aware that over the next months, we will have construction noise during the daytime. We have taken many steps to ensure the impact on our guests' stay is minimal. During the renovation period, coffee and tea will be served daily in the morning and a wine and cheese reception in the evening. Further, we invite you every Thursday to our "Anchor's Away" Barbecues by the pool to meet with managers and learn about our progress.
The Waterfront Hotel will emerge from its renovation on September 1, 2008 as a place to celebrate the adventurous spirit of the Oakland waterfront. All of the guestrooms, public spaces and meeting rooms will be refreshed to embody the soulful atmosphere of the waterfront through its inspired décor.
The services and amenities at the newly renovated Waterfront Hotel will infuse the festive spirit and casual sensibility of the islands. These upgraded services and amenities include:
- Plasma screen TVs: 37 or 42 inches, with screen doubling as a computer screen via JackPack connector
- Wireless internet access throughout property (premium service available for a fee)
- iPod docking stations with alarm
- Twice-daily shuttle service to and from Downtown Oakland or BART station
- Room service
- Penthouse suite
- Doubloon for complimentary beverage at Miss Pearl's Jam House
The opening of the Waterfront Hotel will also usher in a new restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Miss Pearl's Jam House, once housed in our very own Phoenix Hotel, will be reborn in Jack London Square. The restaurant will feature a series of rooms mirroring an aging, but elegant, island-style mansion, serving Caribbean inspired foods with a modern flare.
The Waterfront Plaza Hotel is the perfect place for a fun and relaxing Oakland vacation. Are you ready to unwind? Then put your feet up and watch the boats in the Oakland Harbor sail by. Are you looking for adventure? Then step outside and explore Jack London Square. It’s all right at our door.
